Some gold bullion is stamped and known as a commodity just as some pieces of jewellery are stamped with the karat weight of the gold on the item. For all other items and some where we’re aware that the stamped mark may be incorrect, we have a variety of testing apparatus to determine both the karat content of the gold (10kt, 14kt, 22kt, etc.) and the weight of the item. With this information, we provide our prospective customers with a written offer based on the current market rate of gold. Simply put, the more gold sells for on the market, the more we pay for your gold.
Our valuations, using modern equipment, are always free. And when you receive your offer, there is never any pressure to sell. You may decide you wish to keep your items and see if they appreciate depending on the trajectory of the gold market or you may decide you want to cash out now. Do I Need To Bring In A Large Amount Of Gold?
Absolutely not. You can bring in a single earring, a small gold bracelet or even a gold dental filling. The gold we buy, barring a few exceptions, is melted down. We’re happy to purchase a little or a lot and want our visitors to know that no amount is too small. We can measure it and we’ll make you an offer.
What If My Gold Jewellery Has Gemstones?
No problem at all. For small diamonds below .04 carat, we can make you an offer on the spot. For larger diamonds, we can have them graded and make you an offer. Alternately, we can delicately remove the gemstones and give them to you, if perhaps you want to retain them for the creation of new jewellery later or if they have sentimental value. We also purchase some gemstones, so feel free to bring us your gold gemstone jewelry.
Do You Buy Rose Gold?
If it’s gold, we buy it. Yellow gold, white gold and rose gold. The amount of non-gold alloys in the gold reduces the karat weight of the gold by content but it still contains gold.
